Richard Gilham is a professional scientist working in Devon. Before that, he worked at the National Physical Laboratory. Prior to that he studied for a degree and PhD in chemistry at the University of Birmingham. When not thinking about science, he likes to go hill walking, camping and generally get as muddy as possible.
